TERRORIST GROUPS OPERATING IN CHURCHES? In a sense, I guess that’s true. There have been several sites on the internet that present that assertion (tongue in cheek). It’s both humorous and striking. Allow me to share the following.

“Latest news reports are that five terrorist cell groups have been operating in many of our churches. They have been identified as: Bin Sleepin, Bin Arguin, Bin Fightin, Bin Complainin, and Bin Missin.

Their leader, Lucifer Bin Workin, trained these groups to destroy the Body of Christ. The plan is to come into the church disguised as Christians and to work within the church to discourage, disrupt, and destroy.

However, there have been reports of a sixth group. A tiny cell known by the name Bin Prayin is actually the only effective counter terrorism force in the church. Unlike other terrorist cells, the Bin Prayin team does not blend in with whoever and whatever comes along.

Bin Prayin does whatever is needed to uplift and encourage the Body of Christ. We have noticed that the Bin Prayin cell group has different characteristics than the others. They have Bin Watchin, Bin Waitin, Bin Fastin, and Bin Longin for their Master, Jesus Christ to return.”

Let me add some others to this report: Bin lovin, Bin serving, and Bin sharin. Put together, these groups and characteristic form a formidable force for God and good. Are you a member of one or all of these cells? I hope so, because if you are, together we can defeat Lucifer Bin Workin and live out the statement made by Jesus: “I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”

ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS ‘TIL SPRING! At least, that’s what the calendar says—but when you live in Michigan, it may actually come along a little later. However, regardless of the weather, one thing is certain: Daylight Saving Time arrives this Sunday! And that means more evening daylight hours, and that’s always good.

Lighter longer. I like that. Makes you feel better about life in general, doesn't it? Light is good. Let’s face it, we live in a very dark world. This can be a very self-serving, mean-spirited, violent place at times. Perhaps you live in a setting where God is not acknowledged, faith is mocked, and godless living is applauded.

What should you do? Curse the darkness? No, no, why not spread some light? In fact, you could be just what the darkness needs—shining forth for all to see. You can do it! Through a smile, a kind word, a worthy deed. Now wait a minute, I can almost read your mind. You think your light is too small to make a difference. Well consider the following.

Researchers at UCLA recently announced they have developed the world’s smallest light bulb. The bulb uses a filament 100,000 times narrower and 10,000 times shorter than those made by Thomas Edison. In fact, it is so small that it is invisible until it is lit. When the bulb is lit, it appears as a point of light to the naked eye. This breakthrough is important because inventors are searching for ways to make energy conserving LED bulbs cheap enough to light homes and offices of the future.

This discovery pushes back the boundaries of physics and offers insight on how small light sources can produce large quantities of light.

Our lives are invisible unless the light of Jesus shines through us. The good news is, even the smallest light source becomes visible.
Wow! Our light may be small, but it can be very effective in dispelling the darkness.
